The expert-varroa.czu.cz web application provides its users with expert monitoring of the spread of varroasis in the Czech Republic, including an expert prediction of future state and corresponding expert recommendations.
The application offers overviews of varroosis intensity in the past years, including reports on the density of honey and honey yields as relevant factors that determine the health of bee colonies and thus their resistance to varroosis.
The main map layer is the expert layer that primarily offers state-of-the-art predictions, identification, and corresponding expert recommendations and knowledge.
The web application was created within the grant project of the Czech Republic Technology Agency No. TD03000438 entitled "Expert monitoring of bee varroasis in the Czech Republic" in cooperation with the Czech Beekeepers Association and the State Veterinary Administration CR. All data for this web application was provided by these institutions. The researcher of this application is a team of employees from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Faculty of Economics and Management, Department of Information Engineering.
